Fribsee (sp) Golf
I have finally found a sport that my son likes to do...and one that my two little girls enjoy: Frisbee Golf...aka fribsee golf (where are the clubs, when do we hit the ball, where is the hole). We went last week while we were on vacation and brought new meaning to the term traversing slopes. We went up and down ski slopes and threw discs in the process. My son loved it and kept asking to do more. Today I introduced the younger two younger girls on a much flatter, albiet more treed course. They thought it was grand fun, and as long as we avoided attempting to keep score, we did as well (I made it in the hole!!!! Cheers all around.). It was yet another good excuse to go traipsing through the woods. Ahhh...the joy of the great outdoors!!!

On a side note, it seems like we have a lot in common. I used to live at 7100 & 29 in Fairfax when I worked for AOL (I do DB architecture, but got laid off 2 weeks ago), Was an ASM with T1115 in Springfield VA, and am the author of all the content for www.ScoutLists.com. What sort of tech work are you in?

I did not realize that you had commented on this until just today. This is Mark Martens from Troop 1115...I have held your name high as the new Scouters have come into the troop as the REAL master of DO cooking. I have become the defacto expert to the new guys...and I always tell them that I learned it all from you.
I hear that you guys may be coming back out to VA. When? I look forward to seeing you and your guys again.
Rhett is still in scouts and is now a "Life Scout". He is the Training Leader...whatever that is called, and is working on his remaining Eagle Required merit badges.
